HEREDITATES' medical interpreter training program prepares interpreters to sit for the national medical certification. We welcome all those interested in using their language skills in the medical field in helping limited proficient clients( LEPs) as well as clients to communicate without language barriers. This is an ONLINE program. Why online? It offers flexibility, studying from your own home, save gas, chat or call instructor, convenience,etc.
Training will focus on ethics, standards, job information, certification information, terminology drills, cultural training, and more.

In order for one to become a certified medical interpreter one must prove to the companies that offer certification that he or she sat through at least 40 contact hours of training minimum.

What you will get during the program:
-though a 3 month program and flexible, graduation is based on performance and passing of the final evaluation with 85% or better
-a syllabus to guide you what to study weekly;
-a written quiz every week
-1 audio file interpreted orally
-medical terminology in English and Target Language
-live sessions throughout the program to coach you on ethics, standards, medical terminology, scenarios, note taking, and to give you an opportunity to ask questions
-forums-to communicate with intructor and other students* ( *number of students may vary)
-24 hour access to lessons, quizzes, and videos
-lots of resources for you to ensure you are well prepared for the exam and as an interpreter
-one final written and one final oral exam over the phone
-Certificate Of Completion and 5 IMIA CEU or 12 CEU credits, respectively
